Josh D. Hammond

Josh D. Hammond is an Australian actor, filmmaker, writer, and model based in Sydney.

Raised in Perth, Canberra and Washington DC, he is a graduate of both NIDA (Diploma of Stage & Screen Performance, 2019) and UNSW (Bachelor of Media: Screen & Sound Production, 2024).

Currently starring in I & YOU at the Belvoir St. Theatre, a two-hander which he also co-produced, Josh will make his film debut starring as Chris in the upcoming feature Haven’t You Heard, Everyone Hates Me. Produced by CIMP Entertainment, the dramedy will premiere later this year.

His theatre credits include Launce in Senseless & Fitz (Old Fitz Theatre), MC in Mad for You (Ad Hoc Theatre), Master Macduff in Macbeth (Canberra Repertory Society), Farnace (Pinchgut Opera) and Liquid Modernity at NIDA.

A keen rock climber, footballer, and sailer, Josh is also a freelance filmmaker (as a writer-director) including short films (Claire, 2023), music videos and content creation (Charli Lucas Music 2024-).

Josh has modelled for Soomom Cycling’s major Summer & Autumn campaigns since 2024.
